The College of Engineering supports the university’s global initiative by promoting education abroad and encouraging students to participate in study abroad programs and other international initiatives.
Students can study abroad and fulfill academic requirements at the same time. Engineering abroad programs may fulfill general education, technical elective, or major specific requirements.
The College of Engineering has further integrated internationalization in the curriculum through the Global Option in Engineering. Students can gain the following without adding any time to graduation:
· Enhance global competencies
· Be better prepared for the practice of engineering in a global environment
· Participate as an active global citizen
Students are encouraged to learn more about international opportunities and the Global Option by attending the Education Abroad Expo and the Engineering Abroad Expo, both held early in autumn semester. During the expos, students can speak with faculty leaders, program alums, and education abroad administrators about various study abroad programs.
