What do you do in the EED?

I am a lab supervisor. We oversee all the labs in the department, seeing that they are well supplied, organized, and supported technically. Sometimes this means getting things ready for an existing lab; sometimes it means troubleshooting issues during class time; and sometimes it means creating and testing new lab equipment to make improvements.

What drew you to Engineering Education at Ohio State?

My grandfather was a professor and associate dean here in the college of engineering. I have always had a deep respect and admiration of Ohio State’s engineering program. My role here in the EED provides me with great opportunities to grow, learn, and contribute to something that I care about.

What is your favorite thing about working in the EED?

I like environment here. Everyone is really driven to do great work, and it shows.

What’s a fun fact about yourself?

I love to knit. I worked at a yarn shop for three years, and I have a collection of yarn that should last me a decade or so.
