The conference organizers elected to hold the conference at OSU for a second year due to the expansive engineering and university facilities and comfortable environment of the Blackwell Hotel.

Registration for the conference is still open, but hurry. The on-time registration fee of $450.00 including several meals, is available until April 22, after which rates go up modestly to $500.00.

Hotel Registration should be made by May 2nd to take advantage of the Conference Hotel special rate.

About the Conference

The goal of the Capstone Design Conference is to provide a forum for the extended capstone design community (faculty, administrators, industry representatives, and students) to share ideas about improving design-based engineering capstone design courses.

The conference schedule includes panels, poster sessions, workshops, local tours, and "birds of a feather" lunch conversations in which attendees who expressed common interests are seated together to network and share information.

The conference organizers are a devoted group of experienced professionals including capstone design faculty from a range of institutions across the United States.

The Capstone Design Conference maintains a unique virtual community of practice, The Capstone Design Community, which is a network of faculty, administrators, industry representatives, and students active in capstone engineering design courses. This web community includes a Design Hub which is a repository of resources for the community.
